Herefollowing some restylings of commercial bonsai import material, available in all bonsai nurseries. It´s a good training practice, gives everyone the possibility to get material to be personalised without long, tyring and dangerous walks on the nearest mountains or without big investments, and makes fun!! Since it´s part of the job here at my place, I thought it would have been a pity not to document that part a normal bonsaist´s day sometimes. Here some pictures, maybe some of the quick solutions used could be helpful for other trees.

A juniperus squamata meyeri. The trunk is interesting, as well as the nebari and the tree has a good taper, but it has been really badly wired before shipping and some of the main branches were damaged. The tree has nevertheless some potential. I cut the nearly dead branches ( among them the former sashi eda, sigh!! ) and the broken ones ( because of the strange wiring), adjusted the deadwood and the canopy. The tree is around 40 cm tall without pot.
