I´m born in Italy the 13th march 1975, pisces ascendant pisces.

I´ve been practicing bonsai art since 1989, because of a xmas gift forwarded from my aunt, at the age of 14 ( that zelkova nire is still alive ). My father then agreed bringing me to bonsai courses on regular basis, till I´ve been able to move indipendently. Without his patience and great support I wouldn´t have been able to keep on doing. Bonsai education progressed then on international basis and in the meanwhile I studied visual arts. After art studies, while being able to keep on my bonsai job, I started exhibiting as artist in major venues, museums and biennals around the globe ( from Chile to Sweden, from Singapore Biennal to Novosibirsk , from London to Sarajevo, through India and around whole Europe). While getting fellowships and awards for my activity in visual arts, I´ve been going on with professional bonsai practice, free lance at the beginning, under contract with a major yamadori nursery in Italy for around 8 years, and then founding my own small company in Berlin, Germany. I´ve been participating to most of the european and italian congresses since 1997, gingko, world bonsai congress in munich in 2001, with trees and sometimes demos. A great challenge was assisting Marco Invernizzi in Trevarez Eba Congress Demo in 2002, after the great experience of assisting him restyling Ginkgo collection and nursery trees in 2001, just before the september exhibition. I´ve been the winner of the BCI president´s outstanding bonsai design award in 1998 during the UBI _EBA/ESA congress in Fermo (Italy), publishing an article on BCI magasine right after, and have had the honour to become member of the UBI bonsai teacher´s registry that year. Thanks to my job with yamadori trees, works and materials I have had the honour to restyle have been spread around europe since the 90´s, in major amateur and professional collections and nurseries. I really wish bonsai to get closer and closer to contemporary arts and I´ll keep doing my best every single day, to integrate bonsai into people´s quotidianity and people´s culturescape and imaginary. And now back to wire!!!!
