		<description>Well, at least you have some good scions of this rare cultivar now to do your own grafts with.  Personally I don&#039;t know why anyone would do this particular type of graft with bonsai in mind.  Much better to do a graft of the desired cultivar onto the branches of an already grown trunk than to try to graft low and have the union show on the bark ever after.  If you make the union at the junction of the main branch with the trunk there is  a natural dividing line that hides changes in bark texture effectively.  Alternately, putting the grafts even further out, such as growing out primary branches and grafting 3-9 scions on each primary branch would hide the unions altogether in the foliage of the plant.</description>
