This is Ernie’s San Jose juniper which was planted on a rock in the early 80’s by Marion Gylleswan.I am still looking to find an original photograph.Two years ago we had to take the tree off the rock since it was not doing well at all.After recuperation I decided to work on the tree yesterday.

The before picture shows the original front of the tree.The closeup shows the lichen you can find all over the juniper.I decided to use more guide wires as usual to preserve these true signs of age.

Here is the result including different front.I hope Marion would have liked it.In a few years we might put it back on the rock.

The tree is doing exeptional well.I will make a picture tomorrow and post it here.
