the result is comes out next spring–Twigs die back.

Osteomeles Subrotunda is original from Okinawa Japan.

In the past 2 years was careless.This spring restyle again.

Laterly is too heat, so new bud is greadually weakly.—-The leaf size is
change small.

These leaves are more health.

It’s time to refine. First step, remove some leaves .

Orange colour cut paster is recovery very fast, but not smooth.

Graft new branch proceed.

Waiting for another step.

It’s very important remove parts os leaves could let tree keep growing in hot
summer.

Crepe Myrtle in spring is growing fast. It’s time to
restyle in early summer. Temperature is high, but
pot is small. Indeed need prun some branch & leaf.
Too much leaves is difficult to maintain in hot summer
, if too dry the branch will easily die back.

It’s time put the tree under half sun.

Earth was hurt by man & industrty, the temperature
were warmer & warmer! Sometime not hot in later
May, But 34 degree C. maybe more Today!
Most tree is stop growing when the temperature is
higher 30 degree C. One way to let is growing is
—DEFOLATE.
If remove all leaves, should be put under the shadow.
But some tree will be die back. This is special technic
for defolate. Cut parts of leaves, tree are vigerous &
could be put under the whole sun.
When new leaves come out, old half leaves will falling
down, or remove old half leaves in new leaves come out.

Once upon a time Elm & Ficus are the most popular
variety in Taiwan. It’s pity ELM is scarely to find
in exhibition. Why? The answer are elm s easy
to die back–difficult to maintain & too muchtime to
take off leaves.
Although I have many Elm before, this is the last
one I have!

Huge pot is need, when tree are weakly. ( Don’t too much tine in big pot,one
or two years enough)

Like the upper one, this old ficus in pot
over 50 years, The crown part is weakly.

The other too strong

So, cut the bud. When the crown parts new bud come out. Cut more shoter
& remove leaves. This technics can make all tree blance.
