First re-Pot.
January 2nd, 2009 by Peter Evans
I re-potted my lonicera today.
I have put it in a pot from Gordon Duffett which is a lot smaller than the original.
This should be the final pot for this tree and will allow for future growth.

Hi Peter,
Just come across your site, we have been growing bonsai for about 40 years since inheriting a small collection from my mother in law, my wife and I have a number of trees between us.
I have some Lonicera myself collected from garden hedges.
The pot is stunning, lonicera are such a rewarding subject.
We will keep looking in,
Best regards.

John, thanks for the comment.
After 40 years your trees should be a sight. I would like to see them.
I am hoping to have more time this year to keep updating items to my site.
Hi Peter,
Unfortunatly we have not had all our trees for 40 years.
Just like you my wife and I attended the Nationals and were astonished at the size and quality of the trees and came back determined to do better.
When my mother in law first started growing there was very little help available and the photographs in the limited books available gave no idea of size.
We have added to the collection and now have too many I feel, they range from small mame to very large collected trees.
We are very fortunate to live quite close to Ruth Stafford-Jones who often visits us, Ruth has a wonderful knowledge of bonsai and her advise has been invaluable.
